This position is in the Budget Services Unit of the Office of Finance and Information Technology (OFIT). The Budget Services Unit is responsible for coordinating the development and management of the agency’s budget. Working within this unit provides a unique opportunity to work with cross-office teams on assignments related to various education programs.

What you will do!

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct support to the Budget Services Director and team. The Budget Support Analyst will also monitor small office budgets as assigned.

Typical duties include:

  • Assisting with the development and preparation of the agency’s biennial budgets.
  • Maintaining locally generated tracking spreadsheets and other documentation.
  • Working to support and provide technical assistance to small offices on budget related assignments.
  • Providing technical support on Workday issues.

What are we looking for?

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public or Nonprofit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other analytical or technical degree).


Three years experience in management, policy or program analysis, or technical-level budgetary support activities.

  • Ability to effectively navigate state and federal agency laws, policies and procedures and be able to determine the impact of policy changes
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines, continual change and at times heavy workloads and maintain composure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,885.00 – $5,936.00 per month
